7/29/2008 - Theft from T and M Salvage, Mulberry

The truck pictured below is  stolen from T & M Salvage in Mulberry on 7/27/08 in the early morning hours.  There is a truck number painted on the hood of 108. There were at least three suspects and they also stole approximately 3,000 lbs of 304 and 310 stainless steel.

Should you know anything regarding this incident, please contact Crime Stoppers.  The business is offering a $10,000 cash reward to leads to the arrest of the perpetrators.

 

 


7/23/2008 - Spirit Lake Rd Circle K

At approximately 11:05 pm, on Monday, July 21, 2008 an unknown black male entered the Circle-K Convenience Store, located at 4980 Spirit Lake Road. Winter Haven, and approached the cashier.

 

The suspect wanted to change two dimes and one nickel for a quarter, and when the cashier opened the cash register the suspect reached over the counter and removed the  drawer from the register.

 

The suspect then fled the store on foot traveling south.

7/23/2008 - Graffitti in Eagle Lake

Between July 7, 2008 and July 11, 2008 there have been four (4) acts of criminal mischief, in which graffiti was painted within the City of Eagle Lake.  

 

During each incident, the suspect(s) spray painted symbols on the rear of a vacant business and traffic sign in the area of North 10th Street & East 5th Avenue. 

 

Similar graffiti was spray painted on the rear of a shed on 9th Street and a vacant home in the Lake Meadows Subdivision.

7/23/2008 - Homicide in Fort Meade

On Saturday, March 22, 2008, at approximately 1:45 p.m. the body of Estavan Valadez "Tio" Rodriguez was found at his place of residence, on the porperty of Jose Garcia Harvesting, 910 West Rhoden Loops Rd in the Fort Meade/Frostproof area of Polk County.  "Tio" was last seen alive alive on March 21st at approximately 7:00 p.m.

"Tio" worked for Jose Garcia Harvesting for approximately 10 years and lived on the property as a caretaker.  His death has been deemed a homicide.

7/8/2008 - Retail Theft

At approximately 8:20 pm, on Saturday, May 31, 2008, two Hispanic males entered into the Publix Supermarket, 2040 Shepherd Road, Lakeland, and removed paper products without paying.

 
The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 23 years of age, approximately 5’ 8”, and weighing approximately 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white tank top and jean shorts
 
The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 19 years of age, approximately 5` 6”, and weighing approximately 145 pounds.  He was last seen wearing jean shorts and short sleeve light shirt.
 
The suspects were seen leaving the area in a 1998 four-door beige Buick, with a possible tag number of 843 IEQ .
