Road Rage, Socrum Loop, Lakeland
December 19, 2019
The Polk County Sheriff's Office is investigating a road rage incident that occurred on Saturday, December 14th, at about 4:15 pm, on Socrum Loop Road at Grady Mock Road in Lakeland.
The victim had pulled out of Publix onto the inside lane of eastbound Marcum Road. A motorcycle was in the outside lane at the time, and the driver of the motorcycle made a rude gesture to the victim, who in turn yelled at him.
The motorcyclist began following the victim, so a passenger began filming the motorcyclist.
When both vehicles stopped at a traffic light, the motorcyclist kicked and broke a side view mirror on the victim's car.
The motorcycles had no visible tag.
The suspect is described as a white male, medium build. Operating a dark colored motorcycle with high handle bars.

Theft, Best Western, Mulberry
December 17, 2019
A theft occurred at the Best Western at 2525 Hwy 60 in Mulberry on December 1st at about 4:00 am.
An out-of-state traveler got a room at the hotel, and left a suitcase in her vehicle parked outside. That suitcase was taken by our suspect (seen in the accompanying photo).
The suspect was seen driving away in a silver or champagne colored Honda sedan.

Theft, Circle K, County Line Rd, Lakeland

A Polk County Sheriff’s Office detective is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect.
The detective said that this unknown man walked into the Circle K store at 6340 County Line Road in Lakeland on Tuesday, December 10th at around 3 am.
The man selected several items from the store and asked for lottery tickets and cigarettes. As the clerk was getting the cigarettes, the man grabbed the merchandise and tickets and ran out the door.
The black t-shirt he is wearing says “No More Parties In LA” on the back, and “Los Angeles” on the chest.
He left in a red sedan.

Porch Pirate, Davenport

Sit back children, as we tell you the tale of the Loughman Looter, a porch pirate who plundered a package in the William’s Preserve neighborhood of Davenport.
Twas a windy, gloomy December day…the 11th of the month…just before 5pm.
A package had been delivered on a doorstep less than two hours before.
And then she came… the Loughman Looter.
She was delivered by her Chariot O’ Crime, a dark blue or green SUV which stopped in front of the victim’s residence. The Loughman Looter leapt from the passenger side of her thief-wagon and ran toward the porch, covering her face as she grabbed the package on the doorstep.
The woman ran back to the SUV and jumped in as it started to flee.

This Loughman Looter is no fool…a thief, yes, but not a fool. She masked her mug because so many people have cameras these days, and our victim is one of them. The victim provided video that showed the Loughman Looter in action.
The Loughman Looter appears to be thin with blond hair…maybe reddish.
She had a cohort in crime…the driver.
Unfortunately, our story has no ending. It has a cliff-hanger.

Homicide, Plant City

Plant City Police Department Detectives Ask for Information in Recent Homicide
On November 26, 2019 at approximately 9:24 p.m., in front of the residence located at 1009 Washington Street W. in Plant City, an adult black male was found in the roadway at Tyler Street and Washington Street with multiple gunshot wounds. He was identified as Michael James Hector, Jr., 12/15/1994 (see photo). The victim died as the result of the injuries he sustained. Michael is from the Lakeland/Winter Haven area and it is unknown at this time why he was in Plant City.

Stolen Vehicle, FRegal Palms Resort, Davenport

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a theft of a vehicle which occurred on Sunday, December 1, 2019 from the Regal Palms Resort on Sand Mine Road in Davenport.
The sister of the victim followed the stolen vehicle to the nearby Publix store and she confronted the suspect. The man fled on foot, leaving the vehicle behind.
The suspect was described as a black male, possibly a teenager, with short hair in a twist. He had been wearing a jacket with black, green, red, and yellow colors, which he left in the vehicle when he ran away.
A composite sketch of the suspect was made based on the description given by a witness.

Auburndale Police Department; Credit Card Fraud Suspect.
On October 6, 2019, the unknown black female seen here fraudulently used stolen debit/credit cards at various stores in Polk County. The female wore the same clothing on several different days as seen on video surveillance. Agency Case # 19-2599.

Attempted Bank Robbery, Auburndale

Auburndale Police Department: Attempted Bank Robbery.
On December 10, 2019, the unknown black male seen here wearing a blue ball cap, striped white shirt, light blue sweat pants and dark sunglasses attempted a bank robbery at the Bank of America in Auburndale by handing a note to the teller. He was seen leaving in a blue SUV, possibly an older model Ford Explorer or Jeep Cherokee. Agency Case # 19-3198

Theft, Walmart, Winter Haven

Winter Haven Police Department:
When your accomplice forgets there's a camera at the entrance...
On 12-4-19, the two males in the video entered Walmart (7450 Cypress Gardens Blvd) with one obviously trying to duck the cameras. The other guy - not so much. They walked through the store and the man in the white jacket hangs around the register where the cigarettes are displayed. No clerk around, so ultimately he goes behind the counter and picks up two cases of cigarettes. After placing them on the conveyor belt, he walks away and moments later they both retrieve the boxes and waltz out. This time they both remembered the cameras.

Armed Robbery, Lake Wales Estates
December 11, 2019
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Lake Wales Estates on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2019, at around 6:00 p.m.
The crime occurred on a dirt trail between Cedar Hammock Street and Scott Avenue.
Four suspects exited a white Dodge pickup truck and confronted the victims, who were inside their vehicle. The suspects accused the victims of hitting their vehicle. One of the suspects brandished a firearm and pointed it at the driver, while demanding money. The truck fled the area to an unknown location.
The suspect vehicle was described as a 2010’s Dodge pickup truck with a lift kit, mud terrain tires, and amber or yellow lights on the roof. The truck also had a large horizontal side decal that ran from the rear to the front.
The front passenger was described as a tan, white male, approximately 30-40 years old, medium build, light beard.
The driver was described as a white male, in his 20’s, heavyset, and brown beard. He wore a holster on his right hip with a black semi-automatic handgun.
The rear passengers were described as white males, approximately 5’10” and 215 lbs.
