On 01/22/2012 at approximately 2145 hours, Officer Elam made contact with the suspect, Thomas Gordon Jr., in reference to a battery investigation.  Gordon had both of his hands inside a jacket, and refused Elam’s commands to remove them.  Officer Elam grabbed Gordon’s left arm, and Gordon immediately turned around and struck Officer Elam repeatedly on the face with a closed fist.  Gordon also gouged Officer Elam in the eye, and attempted to get Elam’s gun out of his holster.  Officer Elam was able to deploy his Taser; however, the weapon was ineffective.  Gordon fled the scene on foot and was not located at the time of the incident.

Gordon was recently released from prison for battery on a LEO and for resisting an officer with violence.  An arrest warrant was obtained for Gordon, charging him with Battery on a LEO, Resisting an Officer with Violence, Attempting to Deprive an Officer of His Weapon, and Escape.  If in contact with Gordon, please use caution and confirm his arrest warrant prior to arrest. 

Lakeland Police are attempting to located Kristi Fones, DOB:  10/15/77.  Fones currently has active warrants for Theft, Burglary, Grand Theft, and Petit Theft.  Fones is described as 5’06” tall. 

Fones is known to drive a 2005 silver Dodge minivan. The vehicle has damage on the front and passenger side.  The vehicle is also missing both passenger side hub caps and the front bumper.

Winter Haven Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Rafael Cintron Martinez (H/M, DOB 10-3-79) for Felony Battery (Domestic Violence) Attempted Strangulation/Suffocation.

On Dec. 27, 2011, officers responded to a Winter Haven residence in reference to the battery. Neighbors in the area heard the victim scream and called 9-1-1. Martinez had already fled the scene.

Suspect was stopped for speeding in Winter Haven. Suspect had no drivers license. He used his brother`s information and he signed his brother`s name on the traffic tickets.

Winter Haven Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Vanessa Denise Carr (B/F, DOB 6/21/73) of  9th Lane, NE in Winter Haven.

Carr is wanted for Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Sell Within 1,000 Feet of a Church and Utilizing a Dwelling to Sell Narcotics.

On Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011 at approximately 2:35 a.m., officers responded to 2071 9th Lane, NE (Carr`s residence) in reference to a burglary in progress, reported by an unknown caller. When officers arrived, they located a large bag of marijuana lying in the roadway. A K9 track led to Ross` residence. Officers found a window open at the home where more large bags of marijuana were found. Police were unable to locate Carr.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s help in an Attempted Murder investigation.

 At approximately 10:10 pm, Tuesday, November 22, 2011, Bruno Gabriel, DOB 03/23/1977, 2351 5th Street NE Winter Haven, became involved in a physical altercation with another male near the intersection of 3rd Street NE and Avenue Y NE, Winter Haven.

 At one point, Gabriel left the scene but then returned with a machete. Gabriel chased the victim with the machete striking the victim several times. After the attack, Gabriel left the scene again. The victim was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center where he was listed in good condition.

 There is a Polk County Warrant for Gabriel’s arrest. He is wanted for Attempted Murder.

 Gabriel is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Gabriel was born in Haiti and speaks with an accent.

WANTED: Christopher Cain – last known address  Captiva Pt. Lakeland, has a Polk County Warrant for Burglary, Grand Theft, Dealing in Stolen Property and Defrauding a Pawn Broker.

On 09-02-2011 the victim reported his residence had been burglarized and property removed. On 10-10-11, PCSO Detectives learned that Christopher Cain had pawned items stolen during the burglary.

WANTED: 26-year-old Peter Lambert, DOB 2/15/1985, whose last known address is on NW 31st Avenue in Miami. Lambert has a Polk County warrant for his arrest for Aggravated Assault With A Firearm, Armed Kidnapping, and Shooting Into an Occupied Vehicle.

During the early morning hours of November 1, 2011, in Poinciana, Lambert got into an argument with the victim and as she tried to leave the area..., he fired a gun at her car, striking the door.

Lambert is described as a black male, 5`6" tall, approximately 200 lbs.
