The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is offering a reward of up to $25,000.00 for information leading to the location, arrest, and conviction of Camron Lee, also known as Saroeun Chea, Tae Won Lee, Taewon Lee, or “Major.” Lee allegedly fled prosecution for murder and other charges in Sacramento County, California. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is offering a reward of up to $12,500.00 for information leading to the recovery and return of Athena Lee and up to $12,500 for information leading to the recovery and return of Mateo Lee.
The FBI and Sacramento Police Department are continuing their efforts to locate Lee and his two toddler children, Athena Lee, now 5, and Mateo Lee, now 3. Anyone who may have information to help locate them is encouraged to contact their local FBI office or nearest United States embassy, call 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324), or submit a tip to tips.fbi.gov. The Sacramento Police Department is seeking the public’s help with locating Camron Lee (Date of Birth: 07/29/1985) who is wanted for murder related to the incident below.
Missing Children:
The Sacramento Police Department is seeking the public’s help with locating Athena Lee (Date of Birth: 07/26/2020 / 4 years old) and Mateo Lee (Date of Birth: 01/31/2022 / 3 years old) related to the incident below.
On July 8, just before 7:30 p.m., Sacramento Police officers responded to the 3700 block of Didcot Cir for reports of a medical aid call. It was reported that a female adult was located inside of a residence, possibly deceased. The female was pronounced deceased on scene by fire personnel. Detectives from the Sacramento Police Department Homicide Unit responded to conduct a homicide investigation. Through the investigation, detectives were unable to locate the decedent's two children, 4-year-old Athena Lee and 3-year-old Mateo Lee, (both pictured below), as well as the children's father, Cameron Lee.
The Sacramento Police Department encourages any witnesses with information regarding this investigation to contact the dispatch center at (916) 808-5471 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward. Anonymous tips can also be submitted using the free “P3 Tips” smartphone app.
